Macrovision Pens IPG License Agreement with Yahoo! Japan for Its Online TV Portal

Macrovision Solutions Corporation (NASDAQ:MVSN) today announced that it has signed a license agreement with Yahoo! Japan Corporation, the country's largest web portal. Under the terms of the agreement, Yahoo! Japan will deploy a syndicated version of G-GUIDE(R), Macrovision's interactive program guide (IPG) service in Japan, through Yahoo! TV.

TV, enabling customers to experience the advantages of an advanced IPG service," said Akitaka Nishimura, executive director of Asia Pacific for Macrovision. "This collaboration is an important milestone for us, shaping the way in which consumers interact with and enjoy digital content."

In Japan, Macrovision's online IPG is provided through Interactive Program Guide, Inc., a joint venture with DENTSU INC. and Tokyo News Services Limited. Versions of G-GUIDE are also available on digital televisions and recorders, personal computers, game consoles and mobile phones in Japan.
